Glass-Bottle wall

What is a glass bottle wall?

Such a wall could be a perforated wall like a jaali wall where the perforations are fitted with old glass bottles of different colours. Or it could be a non load bearing infill wall where empty old glass bottles are placed together or stacked to form an interesting pattern and the resulting effect of coloured light streaming through is magical!

Did you know that ‘Tuborg’ bottles are not recycled/reused and large numbers of these unused bottles are piling up at recycle centers in many cities? One easy way of using these intelligently is to build composite walls integrating coloured bottles into the perforated wall resulting in an interesting texture and interplay of light. Try it!
